Mabe the world has just about enough of watching everyone kill each other all the time and this is kind of mindless stuff. Maybe there is something to be said for slow news day? I’ve pretty much had it with all the murder and mayhem going on in the middle east but draw the line at watching a starlet’s funeral…ciao
The Beeb loves Anna Nicole Smith because she is such a wonderful vehicle with which to bash America. She was white trash with no discernible talent but marrying billionaires. She rose to fame by posing naked and acting like a fool. Her hobbies were doing drugs and screwing any guy who caught her eye. The biggest mystery of her life is who is the father of her last child. The suspects are a cast of thousands.

I expect to see headlines like: The flowers on Anna Nicole Smith’s grave have started to wither. or Today the grass over Anna Nicole Smith was cut.
They should have shown live pictures from Copenhagen instead.
Fires in the streets may not be more interesting to watch, but a bit more important.
Translation: news out of Iraq is largely positive, so it must be replaced with something else ;->

At the end of the day, what’s more important to us—what the world has to offer or our principles? What happens when we have to choose one or the other? I pray that we would be people of principle, who aren’t easily swayed by what the world tosses our way, but who stand firm on the principles that God has ingrained in us.
