Sweden reverses an expulsion order against an egyptian former terror suspect. With the story of Abu Omar out, who could blame them?
The Egyptian government lashes out against critics of the AbdelKarim verdict. After all, how dare those HR people have a differing opinion than that of the egyptian government? Blasphemy!
But it's not all bad news. Ibrahim Eissa beat the case against him and overturned the verdict of one year in jail for insulting the President. Abdel Karim's appeal court case is on the 18th of March y'all. Let's hope we hear good news then as well!
Al Zarwaa is no longer on TV, and I am pissed off. This was a great channel. Utterly psychotic. They showed explosions and dead bodies and terrorist acts in the making and ran videos of how great and brave Saddam was. Now that's reality TV for ya. And what even sucks more is that the egyptian government pussy footed around it. Instead of taking a stand against terrorism by announcing that they banned the website for its psychotic content, they claimed "technical problems" were the cause for the shut down. Wussies!
The Shia are not having fun in Egypt, or so says this story. I believe it. It's just the sign of things to come!
And finally, a story about the strikes the workers been waging and their victories. Knowing how shitty their wages are (less than 40 dollars a month) and how badly they are treated, this heartless capitalist says: Good for them. Keep it up guys and more power to ya! It doesn't seem like the strikes will end soon!
Many subjets, must be published individually

Wow, we supposedly tortured the guy and his “scar” looks like my hip when I bump against a piece of furniture. I think we need to hire some torturers from the Middle East.
Of course it’s not *another* example of Lesson Eighteen, right?

The Left in the West is so stupid you could pull the “there’s a spot on your shirt” (boink the nose) trick until the end of time. So long as the alleged victims are enemies of the United States, they’ll believe anything, forever.
Interview with a Saudi who went to Iraq to fight ‘infidels’ and presumably defend innocent Muslims. He ended up driving a tanker rigged with a remote-controlled bomb (unbeknownst to him) into a Baghdad neighborhood. You must use Internet Explorer to view this video, but you must watch this.
Its good Sweden has retracted that. I think immigration law in the EU is worth keeping a close eye on. If people are ‘a threat’ or ‘inciting hate’ or whatever they are being accused of, the issue should be addrssed under existing laws for public order. Immigation law does not have the same checks and balances. Aside from that, why should Sweden do one single thing to please the populist “protest” parties? 🙂
“No one has the right to ….. comment on Egypt’s decisions”
Uh, yes we do. See, that’s the point of free speech, and, despite the efforts of so many people around the world, we still have that right in most western countries… 🙂
Sweden has a very liberal immigration law. They accepted about 25,000 refugees from Iraq but many of these refugees are not from Iraq at all. What’s more Sweden already has a problem with refugees and immigrants as does Germany, France and Denmark among other EU countries.
al Zarwaa is still carried by ArabSat. BBC says that arabsat is owned by arab countries together, however the biggest shareholder is KSA with 36.66% of shares, the next biggest is Kuwait 14.59% and then Libya 11.28%, other countries own from 1 to 2 %.
Ella sure no problem in Poland, where there is a Maciej Giertych
ella,
al Zarwaa is a Zionist conspiracy. I have no reason to say this, and no evidence to back me up, but what conspiracy does? If you disagree, I’ll respond by repeating my allegation in all caps.

This isn’t really a response but thought I should bring this to your attention if you haven’t already seen it.

Check the anti-semitic ppl list in the comedy section. Funneh.
Oh really. What kind of a problem might that be, pray tell?
Utlendinger er for fremmed? Liker ikke gravlaks? Kan ikke ski? For svart?
Is the problem simply that Sweden accepted so ‘many’ refugees, is that what is bothering you? Or that the moral purity of these people is being questioned, because it turns out that actually some of them were from a neighbouring country?
My point is that there are new laws being used to deport people under, that were not necessary. Immigration laws are different to the normal legals system that you and I are subject to. If people are creating social problems, we already HAVE laws to deal with that.
OK – let’s accept Sweden does have a problem with refugees. Even if that is the case, do you want EU laws changed in a way that gives courts less power, but governments more? For me, it makes me think of the slope Germany went down.
I think we all should be very watchful of our civil liberties. What kind of “problems” the poor Swedes might think they have is incidental to these bigger issues. Although as I suggested to begin with, I would strongly question whether Sweden does have a problem. Immigration enriches a country’s cultural life. Or am I wrong? Does immigration pollute the gene pool?
If I understand you correctly, hard-working people in Egypt are paid 1/3 less then poor, struggling, deprived Palestinians get from UNRWA for doing nothing at best, or more often for lobbing rocks and missiles at Israelis. And it is called “blocade” and even “genocide” of Palestinians. Who blocades Egypt then???
One can only guess how much the same Egyptian workers could be paid if Egypt complied to the Camp-David and truly welcomed Israelis, however $700/month sounds like a fair estimation – I understand it is less then what Palestinians were paid on Israeli factories on PA-controlled territories until they resumed killing Jewish children.
Yes, I think $700/months would be a true measure of the value of a labourer when proper investors and technologysts are involved. When the government makes sure that an investor or an engineer from Israel will be torn to pieces by the crowd, your workers get $40 a month, however you get to enjoy your hate and blame someone else for your misery.
I am sorry to say that, but Egyptian deserve to be treated the way they are treated by their Government.
12. justine:
You have a problem when it turns out that a large percentage of your new citizens have no intention of accepting the laws and customs of their new land as well as being 10 times as prone to end up in crime statistics as the indiginous people…
ten times?
a girl can’t argue with statistics.
