Remember those old looney tunes cartoons, where a character would be given a birthday cake, and the candle is really a dynamite stick and it blows up in his face?

You do?

Can you think of a more appropriate gift for this guy?

  1. Yes I can, how about a TV interview with a bomb built into the camera?

Honestly, my “die happy” list includes Bin Laden dieing of rabies.

  2. why hate bin laden when u can hate his boss, bush. i wish someone would drop off bush in a african ghetto where he can live on a crumb of bread and dirty water for a year. then executed.

  3. Anwar,

I’m looking forward seeing your documentary evidence for the claim you made in 4. And am I to understand that you think that Bush is to blame for the malnutrition and poor water supplies in Africa?

  4. I’d rather see a stick of dynamite shoved up a different portion of his anatomy.

Once Osama bin Laden is dead, should a stake be pounded through his heart, by any chance?

  5. ben Laden is mostly seen as a “Bienfaiteur” among the poor population, giving medecine, food, money, education…. but this is not free, someday he will request his pay-back : a young man will have to sacrificize ; hey , that sound like Abraham in Bible (don’t remember, if it was Isaak, the sacrified), or Priam in Grece Ilydade & Odyssee ; this ben laden is constructing himself a legend, that, may-be in decenies or century will be recorded in a Verset

  6. I agree with tedders, John D K and Alexis. And I’m afraid nomad might be right. Osama seems to be setting himself up to be the new Mohammad. Imagine that for a horror story.

  7. Send him a collection of anwar’s comments.

If osama’s anything like me, those comments will irritate him to death. More likely in his case, amuse him to death. Either way: his just desserts.

  8. For me, I am kinda old fashioned, I prefer 10’000 LB Bunker Buster, sorry tedders…..
and dear Anwar,…….suck your own cock!

  9. I am kinda olf fashioned, I prefer 10’000 LB Bunker Buster, sorry tedders!

And Dear Anwar, ……go screw your self !

  10. Aardvark,

Intriguing how you used 12 for foreplay, and 13 for the main event. Not that Amway doesn’t deserve it, but perhaps you could be more witty and less obscene. My mother reads these comments, after all.

  11. Bush is far worse than Ben Laden…

Ben Laden is just a regular guy from the KSA, full of money, who choose to try to liberate his country instead of enjoying gin tonic near a pool in Marbella or Palm beach…

  12. Joan, what standards do you use to make such an incredibly stupid comment? Spouting such crap might make you popular among your circle of friends, but to educated people it makes you sound like a fool.

As a historian, I believe that the story of Iraq is still being written. Should Iraq develop a relatively stable representative government in the next 10-20 years, Bush’s adventure in Iraq will be deemed as a brilliant success, and he will be considered one of America’s better presidents (at least regarding foreign policy). If Iraq falls into full-scale civil war, drawing in its neighbors, then Bush’s foreign policy will be considered a reckless mess. Either way, it is still way too early to tell.

  13. Joan,

What an unserious comment! There’s much about Bush that I don’t like, either, but is he really THAT bad? He gets blamed for all manner of things that were supported by his opposition, and is lambasted for being everything and its opposite.

Bin Laden, on the other hand, is nothing short of a thug.

    Nomad,

    Mom knows all about Dorkwads.

  14. Why is it so fashionable to criticise George Bush at every opportunity, even when one is writing about Osama bin Laden, one of the most vile cult leaders in history. Bin Laden headed a terrorist organisation that wanted to destroy Western culture. Bush simply responded to bin Laden’s reprehensible and unprovoked attack on the Twin Towers.
Osama is and will always be considered to be one of the worst evils in history. He has also put back the cause of the Muslims a thousand years and created a division between the Muslims and the West which may never be breached. He has nothing to boast about.

  15. it’s a moral point of view, seen from your west corner (I don’t make a jugment wether it’s good or bad), but historically and geopolitically, things might be seen with some nuances, I wouldn’t like to have one of the both as a hero

  16. bigcitylib,
Well of course. The koran dictates that Muslims should slay infidels wherever they find them and should only stop when all the world belongs to Allah and everyone is a Muslim. They are only following the tenants of Islam
